Surya fest his fault & asked for pardon. To calm Karumariamman, Surya swear that two time in a year, he would touch her feet. Karumariamman blessed Surya & he recover his lost shine. Today, the sun rays fall directly on the feet of Karumariamman at her house of Thiruverkadu. This occasion take place in the Tamil calendar months of Panguni (March – April) & Puratasi (September – October).
