Due to pregnancy pain, Vedhika couldn’t wake & welcome the wise man. Unknowing of Vedika’s issue wise man Urdhvapada damned her to a lot of pain & would lose her child too. She requested to Goddess Parvathi for help. Goddess Parvati seem before Vedhika in the form of Garbarakshambigai. By placing the unborn child in a “Kalasam,” or divine pot, she saved it. When Vedhika weeping because she could not offer the baby her milk, a sacred cow seemed in front of the shrine & made a lake of sacred milk.
Vedhika revered Goddess Garbarakshambigai to make sure she stays in the temple always & assist all women with their bothers.
