Rituals of the Shivaratri Vrata
- On the day of Shivaratri fast, the devotee of this vratham should get up early, before dawn & meditate about the Supreme & infinitely rosy Lord Shiva. They then take a bath & wear new and clean clothes. Wearing a Rudraksha mala and applying ‘vibuthi’ (holy ash) is thinking about to be an important part of the custom.
