Celebrity Cricket League 2024 – The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is an amateur men’s cricket league in India. It consists of eight teams of movie stars from 8 movie industries of Indian cinema. The league started in 2011. Salman Khan is the Brand Ambassador for Celebrity Cricket League from 2011 for all seasons. The CCL teams utilize different venues for their home games & it has a broad coverage in Indian media.
The popularity of the IPL inspired the CCL, with franchises in main Indian cities. Vishnu Vardhan Induri, a businessman from Hyderabad, is the founder & managing director of CCL. He began the league in 2010 by selling franchise rights for 4 teams in the inaugural season. For the 2nd season, 2 additional teams were added.
