Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Budget
A provision of budget of Rs 1102.91 crore has been created by the Union Ministry of Education under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana for school education. This provision has been created for Punjab in the financial year 2022-23. This scheme was initiated with the aim of changing the education level in the state. The share of 60:40 will be shared by the Central and State Governments in the said amount.

Out of this amount, Rs.661.75 crore has been put forward as central funding and the rest of Rs.441.16 crore will be offered by the state government for elementary education, secondary education and other education elements. Rs 378.62 crore for secondary education, and Rs 707.73 crore has been earmarked by the ministry for elementary education.

- Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan has been initiated by the Central Government. This campaign has been initiated on 4th August 2021. Under this campaign, the dimensions of school education from preschool to class XII have been involved. This campaign has been initiated in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 2020. Involving the Sustainable Development Goals on education.

- About 11.6 lakh schools, 15.6 crore children and 57 lakh teachers will be benefited through this scheme.

- Online Monthly Events– Activity wise progress reports for all elements of Samagra Shiksha will be submitted by the States and also submitted by Union Territories.
- Online submission of school wise development report – details regarding school wise program and construction status under many components of Samagra Shiksha can be submitted with the help of online.
- Active Login – District login has been made in 740 districts, 8100 blocks and 12 lakh schools of all states and union territories.
- Yearly Action Plan- State and Union Territories can submit district-wise yearly action plan and budget proposal with the help of the portal. Online evaluation of these proposals will also be completed with the help of the system and the final approval provided by the Project Approval Board will be fed on the online portal.
- Online made of Approval Order – After required approval, all approval orders under this government scheme will be made online. Online auto-generated mails will be provided by the Government of India to all the States and Union Territories in which all respective details will be provided.
