Kerala TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For Category I: Lower Primary Teacher – Class I to V

• Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent with 45% marks with two years Trained Teacher Certificate from TTC Examination Board.
• Candidates must have at least 45% marks with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulation 2002.
• Candidates should have at least 50% marks with Diploma in Education

For Category II: Upper Primary Teacher Class VI to VIII

• BA/B.Com/B.Sc- 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education/TTC with 45% Marks
• BA/B.Com/BSc with 45% Marks and 1 Year B.Ed.
• Secondary / Higher Secondary with 50% Marks and 4 Year BEIEd (Bachelor of Elementary Education)
• Secondary / Higher Secondary with 50% marks and BA / B.Ed. / 4 years of B.Sc.Ed.

For Category III: High School Teacher Class VIII to X

• BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc with 45% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized University.
• BA with 45% marks or equivalent and passed in LTTC
• To apply in Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, and Physics, the candidate must have 50% marks from a regional institute graded by NCERT.
• For Zoology and Botany, candidates must have qualified M.Sc.Ed with not less than 50% in the Life Science course.

For Category IV:

Those who qualify for the posts of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu language teachers (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers, and physical education teachers listed in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules are also eligible.
