BTET Recruitment 2024 Eligibility

The BTET 2024 eligibility criteria are talking about below –

Age Criteria

• The minimum age limit of the aspirants is 21 years as on January 1, 2024.
• The maximum age limit is 35 years as on January 1, 2024.
• Age relaxation of 5% will be shared to the female/SC/ST/OBC aspirants depending upon the reservation criterion defined by the examination authorities.
• In the case of the reserved category female aspirants, only 1 reservation rule is applied.

Educational Qualifications

Here are the eligibility criteria for BTET 2024 exam –

Paper-I: For Teachers I-V class (Primary Level)

• The aspirants should have passed Class X with minimum 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
• Aspirants who have done their graduation in B.SC/ BA/ B. Ed. degree with minimum 50% marks can apply for BTET 2024. The applicants who are appearing in the Final 4 Year Bachelor of Elementary Education/a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 2-year Diploma in Special Education can as well apply for this exam.

Paper-II: For Teachers VI-VIII Class (Upper Primary Level)

• The aspirants who have done their graduation & passed/appearing in the final year of two-year D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) are eligible to apply for BTET 2024.
• Those who have done their graduation with minimum 50% marks & passed/appearing in one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/ passed or appearing in the final year of four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
• The applicants who have completed their Graduation with at least of 45% marks and passed/ appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) can as well apply for BTET 2024.
